I remember one of my spiritual teachers telling me, “Wherever you go, there you are!” Because, as I’ve learned, our main project is always ourselves. Not some ambition. Not some achievement. Even though I convey a lot of space in my paintings, I also like to convey a kind of love that thrives in serenity.

I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
