Okay, yes, there are a lot of problems with this cartoon.
Such as there are only men on the board.
And he's talking to the wrong people.
You'd think the chairman should know better. But he's oblivious. Intentionally. You can tell because he's surrounded himself with men. And a man should never assume he's okay in the misogyny department.
The guy who raises the legitimate question is the good guy, but he's probably going to get fired for being insubordinate and uncooperative.
He'll be accused of being a downer.
Because he asked the one question that needed to be asked.
One of the scariest things I can do is ask Lisa questions like this: "Honey, how have I been treating you? Is everything okay? Are there any attitudes you think I have that are dismissive, disrespectful, condescending, or uncaring?"
I prepare for a time of intense self-examination, remorse, and change.
So... if you really want to know how you treat women and what they think your attitudes about them really are, ask them.
And buckle up buttercup!
