This was me. That's Lisa. Even though I was crazy about girls and thought about sex a lot, I was completely naïve. Very! When Lisa and I started dating, she introduced me to the idea that maybe I was too religious... that I had let my religiosity kill my humanity. She wasn't raised in a purity culture home or church, so she was free from it.
I remind you we never went all the way until we were married... like good Christians (wink wink nod nod).
But we had fun on our way there. Purity Culture died a sudden death in my mind early on in our relationship. I'm thankful for that.
No lingering shame or doubt like I know so many people have to deal with.Because I learned that we, with all our sexuality and sensuality, are not necessarily being tempted. We're just being human! And that's okay.
