I Miss Community Original Sumi Ink and Watercolour on Paper
I MISS COMMUNITY
The spiritual meaning in my paintings is something that emerges from my own journey. Even though I wouldn't trade questioning my beliefs for anything, and even though I don't regret leaving the church, I still miss community. It's confusing while at the same time making sense.
Do you know what I mean?
Even though I convey a lot of space in my paintings, I also like to convey a kind of love that thrives in serenity.
This is a Sumi ink and watercolour on heavy, high quality Arches watercolour cotton rag paper.
It measures approximately 8"x10" with a white border for matting and framing.
I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
Not matted and framed. I suggest white double matte with a black frame.
Each original comes with a letter of authenticity
I retain the copyright to all my images.
