This drawing shows a winged Sophia, covering her eyes, hiding and shrinking back from her own beauty. I drew Sophia "Angel" during a time in my life when I was realizing my freedom and also my magnificence and beauty. But because of my religious background, I felt embarrassed. I had to get to the point in my own liberation where recognizing my own magnificence is not something to avoid or be ashamed of, but something to be embraced and displayed for others to see. I decided to never hide my light from the world again.
