I created this piece as a reminder of how lucky I am to have a partner throughout these unprecedented times. We may be isolated, but we are isolated together. It depicts the beauty in this simple act of being alone, together. I wanted to make a statement that no matter how secluded or alone I may feel, I always have the person I love and cherish right there with me, and to take the time to appreciate the little things while we have them. A drive to get a tea or coffee, a nature walk, a morning spent silently reading a book and looking out at the river... there is an unspoken comfort to be found in being together, while also being isolated.
