"I Feel the Need to Be Seen"

Like this person exposed but alone on a beautiful night... I've discovered a strange tension that has been going on inside me for my whole life. On the one hand I want to be seen and appreciated for who I am. On the other hand I hide myself because I'm afraid of the ridicule and rejection I would receive if I was seen for who I am.

I live in eastern Canada. I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavor to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.

Finding Myself Again

Hi and thank you for your art and your fb posts. I told my husband about your prints and he ordered this and another for me. I love them. I will be having them framed with my poster of the pikaia gracilens (5-6 million year old (Middle Cambrian) creature...our earliest ancestor. It may be a crazy trio of pics, but it will reflect me.
