Sophia Cleansed Print
💡When adding a mat, the selected size is the finished frame size.
My drawing here is called "Sophia Cleansed".
This is the selection from my illustrated book, The Liberation of Sophia, called "Cleansed".
It took a few years for me to finally feel like I was free from my years of service to the church. On the one hand I appreciate so much from that time. On the other hand there were things I needed to be cleansed from.
Many of you know what I mean.
Here's a selection from "Cleansed":
After I escaped I felt like I could shower forever.
I mean, in one way I felt clean like I'd shaken off the dirt. In another way I felt filthy with stuff I couldn't somehow shake.
It was the residue of all my years of slavery and my necessary collusion with it. I forgive myself. I did it in order to survive.
What's been done to me and what I've done to myself. I forgive.
What I've been given and what I've received. I forgive.
It hasn't all been good. It's all been... questionable.
But here I feel the glue of all that residue gathered over the years sticking to my body, my bones, my soul.
I've been caught in a rain storm. I've fallen to the ground. I will let it all soak in.
My many years of servitude,
my years of compromise,
my years of confusion,
my years of captivity,
my years of fear.
May they all drain out of me and into the ground to bury themselves.
I've never felt this clean, this pure, this complete. I'll remember this rainy night‚ my truest baptism.

FRAMED WITH CARE
Each print is made on archival matte paper, a smooth, acid-free paper that brings out deep blacks, rich tones, and crisp details without glare. It’s museum-quality paper crafted to honor the depth and texture of the original.
You can order your print unframed or choose a solid wood frame with an optional mat so it arrives ready to hang. However you display it, every detail is designed to let the art speak for itself.
FRAME DETAILS
Each frame is crafted from solid American oak with real glass and an optional white mat for a clean, gallery-quality finish.
Small sizes (8×8 and 8×10) include both an easel and wall hangers, and every frame comes with simple hardware for easy setup. Just unbox and display.
MAT DETAILS
Frames come ready to hang with full-bleed printing (no mat), but you can add a white mat for more space around the art.
A mat gives the piece a softer, gallery-style look and helps the artwork stand out. Matted or unmatted, your print arrives ready to display and easy to love.

The Sophia prints have beautifully illustrated my journey of deconstruction and found spirituality. My journey begins with “Study”. I am a retired professional Librarian, so books have been my best too for transformation and helping others find theirs. “Metamorphosis” illustrates the work that has been done with the knowledge acquired through “Study”. “Cleansed” illustrates the result of the “Metamorphosis”. “Provision” illustrates all the people in my life who have supported this journey that I have been experiencing over the past 40 years. I am so very grateful to David for his work. It has allowed me to express my journey in a way that mere words cannot express. Thank you David!!!
I just received this framed print to hang in my home office. It's even more stunning in person. The print is a very high quality and the framing is perfect.
