I painted this in 2011. I was experiencing a lot of grief then, having just left the ministry and the church the year before.
A very difficult time.
But I've decided to just post it now because a new season of grief is upon me.
The painting explores the question:
Is it possible that the tears we allow ourselves to shed actually help us to float in the grief, rather than sink into it forever?
